Mentor Series 4

The Kinesys Mentor Series 4 is a SIL3-rated safety controller designed to manage emergency stop, enable and safety communication across complex Kinesys automation systems.

At the core of the system is SIL3 safety over Ethernet, allowing Mentor Series 4 to communicate with compatible Kinesys devices while maintaining a central overview of safety functions across the setup. It is designed for use with Apex systems, but also includes Universal Device Interface connections for integrating Elevation, DigiHoist and other legacy Kinesys equipment.

  • Mentor Series 4 provides SIL3-rated emergency stop, enable and safety communication, creating a central safety layer across compatible automation equipment.

  • Devices can be assigned to SIL3-rated safety groups directly from the touchscreen. If a fault occurs on one device within the group, the complete group can be configured to stop together.

  • Universal Device Interface connections allow Mentor Series 4 to integrate non-Apex equipment such as Elevation and DigiHoist into the wider Mentor safety infrastructure.

  • A built-in 7-inch touchscreen provides access to system configuration, diagnostics and safety-group management, while key-switch confirmation helps restrict critical changes to authorised personnel.
